 me to the 48th CERN School of Computing (CSC 2026)\nThe school will take p
 lace from August 23 to September 5 in Liverpool\, UK. This year's school i
 s organized in collaboration with the Liverpool University\, Department o
 f Physics and will be hosted at the Liverpool University premises.\nAcadem
 ic Programme\nThe theme of the school is Scientific Computing: Theory and 
 Practice. The two-week programme will consist of around 50 hours of lectur
 es and hands-on exercises\, covering three main themes:\n\nPhysics computi
 ng\nSoftware engineering\nData technologies. \n\nStudents who pass the fi
 nal optional exam will receive a diploma from the CSC\, as well as ECTS cr
 edits.\nOther activities\nHowever\, it's not all study\; the social and sp
 ort programme is also a vital part of the School. We will have ample oppor
 tunities to explore and experience some of the great cultural\, historical
  and natural attractions of Liverpool and its surroundings\, including vis
 its to nearby Wales! Have a look at the timetable\, it will give you an id

 nThe School is aimed at postgraduate (ie. minimum of Bachelor's degree or 
 equivalent) students\, engineers\, and scientists with a few years of expe
 rience in particle physics\, computing\, or in related fields. We welcome 
 applications from all countries and nationalities. Applicants are responsi
 ble for ensuring that their home institute or employer covers their regist
 ration fee and travel cost\, or\, failing this\, themselves. \nWe would l
